Learning more about hormones

Going in with your eyes wide open. If only that were a possibility, but most women who enter the menopause find themselves in the middle of nowhere, they are not ready for what is about to become their life for a while.

Many women at this age are still raising teenagers, taking care of elderly family members and at the same time taking care of a home. This lifestyle does, of course, put us under an enormous amount of stress and pressure. This can lead to sleepless nights, extreme tiredness and mood swings due to shifting hormones or better known as hormone imbalance.

A practical way to record your notes is to use a diary, chose something attractive that you will enjoy writing in.

Make note of your feelings, and any special thoughts you had that day, remember to write down 3 things that you were grateful for that day, this helps enormously with your mindset.

Make notes about what you did and relate to your feelings, then cross-check how you felt. Who you were with and what activities you did.

The mystery of the menopause

This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is Canva-Mother-and-Daughter-Doing-Laundry-1024x680.jpg

This really sounds implausible, but the truth is that we really don´t fully understand what happens during menopause and precisely why the menstrual cycle winds down.

The prevailing medical view of menopause is that when a woman runs out of eggs, she stops menstruating and goes into menopause.

Strangely enough, however, this is largely theory. The prevailing theory goes that a woman is born with all her follicles (from which eggs can be matured) already formed.

Of the millions of follicles present before birth, about 300.000 are present at puberty. With every menstrual cycle, even those cycles when ovulation is suppressed by birth control hormones, hundreds of eggs vanish.

Recognising the Symptoms

When only about 1000 eggs are left, ovulation rarely occurs, even though estrogen production may remain adequate for menstruation. Thus such women continue menstruating and are in a state of estrogen dominance. In other words, loss of fertility is due to the disappearance of follicles and their eggs rather than age per se.

In some women, the hypothalamus stops producing certain hormones (GnRH) presumably a genetically programmed change, whereas in many others GnRH and the pituitary hormones, FSH and LH continue being produced at regular levels and yet the ovaries do not or cannot respond.

So a woman of 38 years old would have a less possible chance of conceiving compared to a woman of 30 because she is releasing fewer eggs or none at all.

Menopause symptoms may begin as much as a decade before menstruation stops altogether, this is due to the increasing numbers of women who are having non-ovulating cycles beginning in their mid-thirties.

So if there is no ovulation the production of Progesterone is dropped dramatically. This is the time when women should start to use ProgesterAll to keep their hormone levels balanced.

The secret is to recognise the symptoms. Some ladies may have extreme symptoms, other women take it in their stride and don´t pay any attention to it. Man women don´t warrant a visit to the doctor at all.

Can ProgesterAll help me?

Natural progesterone is the term used to describe the hormone progesterone in its original state, bioidentical to that produced by the body. When used to supplement progesterone levels it is treated within the body exactly the same as natural hormones. The liver recognises it and identifies it.

It is important to differentiate between natural progesterone and the artificial forms of progesterone, known as progestins or progestogens. These are chemical based and are used in conventional hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

While progestins perform in some ways like progesterone they are, in fact alien to the body, and the body will not recognise it as naturally occuring.

Of course a fact that is widely believed to explain the many reported side-effects associated with HRT. You may find this book of interest – Martin Walker – HRT Licensed to Kill and Maim

“Men-o-pause” may be a funny play on words but it’s no laughing matter to millions of women. When hot flushes, mood swings, vaginal dryness, depression, night sweats and memory changes are affecting your life.

Why Natural Progesterone?

why natural progesterone

Every woman has a question about hormones, but usually we have no idea where to start, so lets ask ourselves Why Progesterone?

In a woman´s healthy monthly cycle Estrogen is the dominant hormone for around the first 12-15 days, balanced by progesteronewhich is the dominant hormone for the latter two weeks.

When foreign estrogen is introduced into this intricate balance, primarily through food and water, prescription hormones, household and exterior pollutants, then the progesterone production and utilization are suppressed.

Natural Progesterone Cream ProgesterAll, should not be confused with other creams and Yam Extract Creams. Whilst Yam has been shown to be beneficial to many women´s health, the vital issue is that of bio-identical and biological progesterone levels and progesterone´s balancing effect on estrogen.

Only supplemental natural progesterone has been demonstrated over the years to increase serum and saliva progesterone levels in women. For this reason so many women have chosen to chose transdermal cream for a natural hormone balance alternative.

  • ProgesterAll natural balancing cream is transdermal, fragrance and chemical free, a naturally moisturising cream containing bio-identical Natural Progesterone.
  • No animal testing is used in this product, which makes it one of the most popular alternatives on the market today.
  • ProgesterAll is easily absorbed into the skin and transported to the fat cells where stored until required by the body.

This amazing cream has a very magical effect on women and has been carefully calculated so those who suffer with symptoms resulting from unopposed estrogen can utilise it on a schedule which parallels their own body´s natural cycles of progesterone production.

ProgesterAll works hand in hand with your own body clock work and balances hormones effectively.

Unlike chemical hormones which are destroyed by the stomach acids when taken internally, ProgesterAll works slowly over time, but with consistency and without sudden biological changes. Women adapt to ProgesterAll easily, even when their symptoms have become unbearable and unforgiving.

So why is Estrogen such a difficult part of our life yet a necessary production within the female hormone balance cycle. To find out more about the the four major naturally occurring estrogens in women Learn more about the important role of Progesterone.
